The core concept of a Vlog is you are using footage of things you experience to tell a story.
Two Editing Styles
- Talk and edit. You can start or have cutbacks to you speaking in one place, while you show footage over it

This is a more advanced version where he talks through the video in different places and ads footage.

- You record a voiceover in capcut, and then add your footage under it, with no direct speaking

Editing Tips:
- change the video roughly ever 1 second, you can go as low as .5, but you want to keep people watching, and we would go with no clip longer than 1s
- to do this that means if you're doing a 60s vlog you should capture about 60 clips, if you ware talking in between, you can talk for 2-4s, and reduce that to 40
- The same principles apply to these as any other video, excellent title, amazing first video clip to hook.
- 3 capture strategy for everything you see - if you are videoing something, shoot it close up (your hand on a door handle), medium (you walking to the door), and wide (a street where you see whole building), this will get you logs of clips
- don’t shoot long, shoot 2-3s clips to make it easy to manage
- have steady and very slow, simple movement, do NOT whip your camera around, simple push in, or sideways movement, or just static with no motion
- capture lots of footage of you when possible, holding the camera in selfie mode or with a tripod
